Brig. Gen. (Res) Arie Mizrachi, Chairman and founder - Brig. Gen. Mizrachi was the Chairman of IMI (Israeli Military Industry) between 2002 – 2005. He was previously positioned as General Director of the Israeli Ministry of Housing and Construction, between the years 1994-1996. His outstanding experience and knowledge in the defense sector is drawn from his experience as the IDF Chief Artillery Officer, and following a career of 23 years within the Israeli Defense Forces. Gen. Mizrachi has a BA in History and Middle Eastern studies from Tel-Aviv University and is a graduate of the US Army Field Artillery School in Oklahoma.
Yaron Mizrachi, President & CEO – Yaron Mizrachi joined Armaz in 1994 and has been the group’s President & CEO since 2002. Mr. Mizrachi brings with him outstanding expertise in state of the art defense technologies. He has a deep and thorough understanding of the defense market as well as sharp analytic skills, enabling him to identify and carry out significant potential business opportunities. Mr. Mizrachi has led the growth of the company during the past years and is responsible for the organizational changes and new group structure. He serves as an officer (Res) in a special unit of the IMOD, following his mandatory military service as an Artillery M109 Battery Commander. Mr. Mizrachi has a BA in Business Management from Ben-Gurion University.
Sagi Mizrahi, Executive VP & GM – Sagi Mizrachi joined Armaz in 1998 and has contributed to the fast-paced growth of the group due to his extensive experience in business development and project management. Prior to joining Armaz, he worked as an investment banker at Bear, Stearns & Co., NY, Oppenheimer & Co. NY, and Sunstone Ventures in Israel. Mr. Mizrachi has a B.S.E from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Kellogg Business School, Northwestern University.
Jacob Stern, Vice President Marketing – Jacob Stern has been with Armaz since 2002, assuming responsibility for the initiation and finalizing of most of the company’s international consulting contracts and technological purchase orders. He previously held the position of VP Marketing at Tadiran Electronic Systems where he focused on expanding the company and marketing its products globally. Mr. Stern has a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University and an M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, University of London.
Brig. Gen. (Res.) David Tzur, Director and Member of the Board – Brig. Gen. Tzur leads the ISTAR programs at Armaz, overseeing a team of experts with a diverse background of intelligence disciplines. Brig. Gen. Tzur acquired unparalleled experience during his service of over 30 years in the IDF Intelligence Branch, from which he retired in 2001 as Chief Intelligence Officer. Prior to joining Armaz, Brig. Gen. Tzur was a consultant for the IDF and other Israeli and global defense companies. Brig. Gen. Tzur has a BA in Middle East studies from Tel-Aviv University and diplomas from several public and business management courses.
Assaf Heffetz, Director Safe City & HLS - Assaf Heffetz joined Armaz in 2009, where he heads all activities concerning Home Land Security and Safe City Programs. Mr. Heffetz served in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), where he was positioned as a paratrooper’s battalion commander. Upon joining the Israeli Police Department in 1975, Mr. Heffetz was assigned the task of establishing the department’s special elite counter terrorism unit, “Yamam”. As commander of this unit he received the Bravery Citation after being wounded in a battle with terrorists in 1978 having been responsible for saving the lives of hostages. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous operational and intelligence related positions within the police department, leading up to his final role as the Commissioner of the Israeli Police, a position he held for four years.
Eli Gur, Business Development Manager - Eli has many years of experience in the field of defense electronic systems , including leading and directing complex projects, marketing and sales, negotiating contracts and managing large scale R&D activities. Prior to joining Armaz Eli held a few key positions in Tadiran, such as International Marketing Director of the Homeland Security Division (between 2004 and 2006), VP for R&D and engineering and Director of Marketing. Eli has a B.Sc in Electronic Engineering from the Technion in Haifa.
Gali Segev, Finance & Contracts Manager – Gali Segev joined Armaz in 2004 where she manages the financial and contractual aspects of the group. Prior to working for Armaz, Ms. Segev was the Finance Manager of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism branch in London. She holds a BA in Economics and Communications from Tel-Aviv University.
Eran Baruchin, Vice President Operations - Bagira Systems Ltd – Eran Baruchin has been with Armaz Group since 2004. He is currently positioned as VP Operations of Bagira Systems, following his position as manager of the company’s training and assimilation department. Before joining the group, Mr. Baruchin served as a Major in the IDF Special Forces Unit and continues to serve as an active reserve officer in the same unit. He has a BA in Business Management specializing in Information Technologies from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya.
Dr. Claus Utz, Director - TARIS Technologies AG – Dr. Utz is head of the TARIS team located in Bern, Switzerland. Prior to joining Taris, Dr. Utz was in charge of the Federal Office for Air force and Command Systems within the Defense Procurement Agency of the Swiss Federal Department of Defense. Previously, Dr. Utz headed the Research and Development Division for the Swiss Federal Aircraft Factory in Emmen. Dr. Utz obtained his PhD with a dissertation on "Experimental investigation on losses of current in a multistage axial-flow turbine" and is a graduate of mechanical engineering studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
Abraham Nuss, Marketing Manager for Latin America – Abraham Nuss has been working within the Latin American market since 1970, marketing and leading large scale projects in the fields of military communications, electronic warfare and C4I. Mr. Nuss joined Armaz in January 2005 where he is responsible for all marketing activities within Latin America. Prior to joining the group, Abraham acted as Marketing Manager for Latin America at Elisra Group. Between the years 1983-2000, he held several key positions at Tadiran Systems, leading up to the management of Ibero-America region operations.
